Akciový pivovar LIBERTAS Libertas 14% IPA
This American IPA delivers a bold, hop-forward experience defined by its complex citrus and resinous profile. The aroma is dominated by the vibrant grapefruit notes of Citra and the piney, spicy punch of Chinook, while Willamette provides a subtle herbal depth. A clean, supporting malt backbone, crafted from Plzeňský slad and Swaen Ale with touches of Goldswaen Red and Swaen Munich Light, offers a delicate toasty sweetness that balances the aggressive bitterness. Fermented cleanly with US-05 yeast, it transitions into a dry, crisp finish. The result is a vibrant, refreshing ale where the American hops shine against a light, grainy foundation.
Appearance. Deep gold to light amber (SRM 8-10). Topped with a persistent, medium-sized white head that leaves consistent lacing. It displays a very slight haze due to being unfiltered.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent grapefruit, lime, and tropical fruit from Citra, alongside resinous pine and spicy notes from Chinook. A low, clean, grainy-sweet malt character from the Plzeňský slad supports the hops. Fermentation is clean with no significant esters.
Taste. Initial hop-forward impression with intense citrus peel and forest pine flavors. A medium-high bitterness dominates the palate but is supported by a light toasted bread and faint caramel malt character from the Swaen Munich Light and Goldswaen Red. The finish is decidedly dry and clean with a lingering, pleasant bitterness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Moderate-high carbonation provides a lively feel. Alcohol warmth is very light and well-integrated; no harshness or astringency is present.
