Aerofab Kuban
NEIPA - New England IPA 6.5 º
A collaboration between Aerofab and Brasserie L'Apaisée, Kuban is a quintessential Hazy IPA that captures the 'juicy' essence of the style. It pours an opaque, glowing gold with a dense, white foam. The nose is a vibrant explosion of tropical and stone fruits—think lush mango, ripe peach, and zesty citrus—layered over a delicate, bready malt foundation. On the palate, the fruit intensity remains high, balanced by a soft, pillowy mouthfeel and a restrained bitterness that ensures high drinkability. The finish is smooth and off-dry, leaving a lingering impression of tropical nectar without any hop harshness.
Appearance. SRM 4-6; opaque and hazy golden-orange hue with a healthy shine; medium-high, rocky, white head with excellent retention and thick lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring mango, passionfruit, and tangerine citrus; supportive clean, bready, and grainy malt in the background; low fruity esters from fermentation; no caramel or alcohol harshness.
Taste. High tropical and stone fruit hop flavors; low bready malt flavor provides a light sweetness; low to medium-low perceived bitterness that is well-balanced and never sharp; finish is soft and off-dry with a lingering fruity aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, smooth, and pillowy texture; medium carbonation; no astringency; very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth at 6.5% ABV.
