Adnams Dry Hopped Lager

This bright and revitalizing German Pils showcases the hallmark precision of Adnams' brewing, elevated by a purposeful dry-hopping process. It opens with an expressive bouquet of floral and herbal notes, layered over a delicate, crackery foundation of Continental Pilsner malt. On the palate, a clean and brisk bitterness takes hold, characteristic of the style’s crisp, northern German leanings. The dry-hop addition amplifies the hop aromatics without adding harshness, resulting in a modern, aromatic lager that remains firmly rooted in tradition. It finishes bone-dry and remarkably refreshing, with a lingering flinty snap and subtle hints of honeyed grain and toasted crackers.
Appearance. Brilliant straw to deep yellow in color (2–4 SRM). Features a dense, creamy, and long-lasting white head with excellent lacing and clarity.
Aroma. Moderately high intensity with a forward hop character of flowers, spice, and dried herbs. Supporting malt notes are clean, grainy-sweet, and doughy, reminiscent of toasted crackers. Clean fermentation profile with no esters.
Taste. Initial grainy malt and light honey flavors are quickly overtaken by assertive flowery and herbal hop notes. Medium-high bitterness provides a crisp, clean balance that leads into a very dry finish. The aftertaste is lingering and bitter with a slight minerally character.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with moderate to high carbonation. Crisp and refreshing with a flinty, sharp finish and no alcohol warmth or astringency.
