This classic Belgian Tripel from De Achelse Kluis presents a masterful balance of monastic tradition and vibrant sensory complexity. It pours with a signature wholesomely hazy glow, indicative of its bottle-conditioned nature. The aroma is a sophisticated bouquet of spicy, peppery phenols and bright citrus esters, underpinned by a soft, honey-like Pilsner malt foundation. On the palate, a deceptive lightness masks its 8% strength, delivering a refreshing yet dense interplay of zesty orange notes and a firm hop bitterness. Appearance. Deep yellow to gold (approx. 5-7 SRM). Wholesomely hazy with yeast remaining from refermentation. Features a long-lasting, creamy, rocky white head that leaves characteristic Belgian lace as it fades.
