Pale Ale 5 º
Monochrome is a contemporary American Pale Ale that highlights the synergy of a double dry-hopped profile. The sensory experience is lead by an expressive trio of Mosaic, Idaho 7, and Sabro hops, which deliver an intricate bouquet of tropical mango, ripe stone fruit, and a unique hint of coconut. A clean, neutral malt foundation provides a subtle bready structure that supports the hop intensity without competing for attention. The beer finishes crisp and dry, balancing a firm bitterness with lingering citrus zest and berry notes, embodying the approachable yet hop-forward character expected of a modern craft pale ale.
Appearance. Pale gold to deep amber (6-8 SRM) with a slight haze from the double dry-hopping. It supports a moderately large, persistent white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High hop aroma intensity featuring tropical passionfruit and blueberry from Mosaic, resinous pine and peach from Idaho 7, and a distinctive cream-of-coconut and tangerine note from Sabro. Low grainy-sweet malt presence supports the hops.
Taste. The flavor mirrors the aroma with vibrant layers of tropical fruit, apricot, and a touch of cedar. Moderate to high bitterness provides a clean, firm structure against a light toasted bread malt flavor. The fermentation is clean, leading into a dry, refreshing finish with a lingering tropical aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light to medium body with a smooth, soft texture. Carbonation is moderate to high, contributing to a crisp and lively mouthfeel without any hop-derived astringency.
