This collaboration German Pils bridges traditional lager structure with a vibrant, modern hop profile. A base of Pilsner malt provides delicate toasted cracker and light honey notes, supporting a high-intensity hop character. The inclusion of Tango hops on the hot side and a modern dry-hop regimen introduces bright citrus, resinous pine, and a distinct green freshness. It remains faithful to the style's heritage with a sharp, lingering bitterness and a brilliantly crisp, dry finish. Bracingly refreshing and clean, it balances the assertive hop-forward citrus punch with the precise, flinty minerality expected of a classic northern-style Pils.
Appearance. Brilliant straw to deep yellow (3 SRM) with a dense, creamy, and long-lasting white head that leaves delicate lacing.
Aroma. Moderately high hop aroma featuring bright citrus zest and resinous pine, complemented by a subtle green, grassy freshness. A background of low grainy-sweet malt offers hints of dough and water cracker. Fermentation is very clean with no esters.
Taste. Initial impression is a flash of grainy malt sweetness quickly superseded by a firm, assertive hop bitterness. Hop flavors of lemon peel and pine needles dominate the mid-palate. The finish is very dry and crisp, with a lingering bitterness and a touch of minerally sharpness.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with high carbonation that provides a lively, scrubbing sensation. It is crisp and clean without any harshness or alcohol warmth.
