This American IPA is a vibrant tribute to the roots of the craft movement, showcasing a singular focus on the classic Cascade hop. The sensory experience is defined by a clean, crisp profile where rounded citrus notes of orange and lemon take center stage. Appearance. Medium gold with brilliant clarity. Pours with a medium-sized, persistent white head that displays good retention and leaves light lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent grapefruit, floral, and light pine notes from the single-hop addition. Supported by a low, clean, grainy maltiness. Fermentation profile is neutral and clean with no significant esters.
Taste. Initial impression is hop-forward and crisp. Dominant flavors of grapefruit zest and citrus oil are balanced by a low, bready malt character. Firm, medium-high bitterness provides structure without being harsh. The finish is dry and clean, leaving a lingering, zesty hop aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth texture. Carbonation is medium-high, enhancing the crispness. Displays a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth and no detectable astringency.
