Febris is an expressive Irish Red Ale that pours a captivating reddish-copper, echoing its namesake of fire. The sensory journey is led by a distinct toasted malt profile, weaving together evocative aromas of hazelnut and lightly charred grain. On the palate, a soft initial sweetness of caramel and toffee is quickly balanced by a grainy, biscuity core. Taste. Initial impression of soft caramel malt sweetness transitions into a grainy-biscuity palate. Moderate to low hop bitterness (18–28 IBU) provides balance without being assertive. The finish is notably medium-dry, punctuated by a characteristic light taste of roasted grain and toasted nuts. Clean fermentation with minimal esters.
Mouthfeel. Medium-bodied and smooth with moderate carbonation. Though it sits at 5.15% ABV, it presents only a very light, well-integrated warmth without any astringency.
