8 Wired Tall Poppy
Tall Poppy is a bold India Red Ale that expertly bridges the gap between a vibrant American IPA and a rich Amber Ale. The sensory experience is defined by an intense, sharp, and fruity hop profile that releases waves of tropical fruit and citrus. This hop intensity is structurally supported by a complex, caramel-like malty backbone, offering depth through layers of toffee and toasted bread. Despite its 7% ABV, the beer remains remarkably refreshing and balanced, where the assertive bitterness from the hops is tempered by the residual sweetness of the specialty malts, culminating in a clean, lingering finish.
Appearance. Deep reddish-copper to amber (11-17 SRM). Brilliant clarity with a dense, persistent off-white to light tan head that leaves significant lacing.

The malt flavor is medium-low but complex, contributing caramel and toffee notes that balance the high IBU. It finishes dry to slightly off-dry with a lingering, clean bitterness and a hint of toasted grain in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, slightly creamy texture. Moderate to high carbonation provides a crispness that enhances drinkability. A light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present but not harsh.
