Hazewired is a vibrant Hazy IPA that showcases a sophisticated quartet of New Zealand hops. The presence of Nelson Sauvin and Motueka provides a classic foundation of crushed gooseberry and lime zest, while the modern inclusion of Nectaron and Superdelic elevates the profile with intense waves of tropical mango and candied pineapple. This 7% ABV pour is distinctively juicy, balancing a soft, pillowy malt backbone with a punchy passionfruit essence. It offers a modern interpretation of the style, delivering a smooth, low-bitterness experience where the hop-derived esters take center stage against a clean, bready background.

Appearance. Deep straw to light orange (4-6 SRM) with a characteristic opaque, luminous haze. Pours with a dense, rocky, meringue-like white head that shows high retention and leaves intricate lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity and profoundly fruity. Dominant notes of ripe mango, passionfruit, and sweet pineapple are complemented by subtle white grape and citrus lime. The malt presence is low and bready, serving as a neutral base for the explosive hop character. No evidence of DMS, diacetyl, or harsh grassy notes.

Taste. Initial impression is a burst of tropical fruit juice. Layers of candied pineapple and mango lead the palate, supported by the specific stone fruit character of Nectaron hops. Hop bitterness is low to moderate, well-integrated and never sharp. The malt flavor is grainy and soft. The finish is off-dry and smooth, with a lingering tropical fruit aftertaste that avoids any hop astringency.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, silky texture. Carbonation is moderate, contributing to a smooth mouthfeel without being prickly. A very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present at 7% ABV, but the beer remains highly drinkable without any heavy or viscous sensation.
