This clean American Pale Ale serves as a focused canvas for the experimental NZH-102 hop, a high-oil variety from the Bract Brewing Project. The sensory profile is defined by a nuanced interplay of tropical fruit and resinous pine, supported by delicate floral and grassy undertones. On the palate, a neutral malt base allows the complex oils of NZH-102 to shine, delivering layers of stone fruit and soft citrus. A crisp, balanced bitterness grounds the experience, leading to a refreshing, dry finish. Appearance. Pale golden (6 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Pours with a moderately large, white, persistent head that leaves fine lacing on the glass.
Aroma. Moderate-high hop intensity featuring prominent tropical fruit (mango, passionfruit) and resinous pine. Subtle floral and fresh-cut grass notes emerge as the beer breathes. Supporting the hops is a low, neutral, grainy-sweet malt character with a very clean fermentation profile.
