This Wild Specialty Beer is a complex, vibrant fusion of tart fruit and expressive hops. The assertive influence of blueberry and pomegranate creates a striking appearance and a deep berry-forward profile. Mosaic hops amplify these dark fruit notes with layers of tropical citrus and earthiness, while Cashmere provides a soft melon and herbal undertone. The addition of lactose skillfully rounds out the sharp lactic acidity, providing a creamy counterpoint to the puckering fruit character. It is a bold, multi-dimensional ale that marries the nuanced fermentation of a wild ale with the lush, juicy intensity of a contemporary fruited sour.
Appearance. Deep reddish-purple to violet-hued with a hazy, nearly opaque body. Pours with a persistent, light pink-tinted head that leaves moderate lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity with a dominant bouquet of fresh blueberry skins and tart pomegranate juice. Significant hop character follows, featuring tropical fruit and citrus from Mosaic, alongside a delicate melon and lemon-lime note from Cashmere. A light, creamy lactose sweetness and a faint, earthy wild funk provide depth.
