Sharkbyte is a vibrant Double IPA that leans into the tropical and citrus-forward profiles of Citra, Amarillo, and Idaho 7. It leads with an intense burst of mango, pink grapefruit, and zesty tangerine, underpinned by a soft, piney resin. The double dry-hopping ensures a saturated hop character without harshness. A clean, supportive malt backbone allows the juicy fruit notes to dominate, while the 8% ABV provides a subtle, integrated warmth. This beer balances the punchy bitterness expected of the style with a modern, hazy softness that highlights its stone fruit and tropical complexity through every sip.
Appearance. Pale gold to light orange; hazy to opaque clarity due to heavy dry-hopping; thick, persistent white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma; dominant notes of tropical mango and papaya from Citra, orange zest and floral peach from Amarillo, and hints of pine and pineapple from Idaho 7. Clean, neutral malt in the background with a low ester profile.
