Two Tales Pils is a masterfully conditioned German Pils that honors tradition through its six-week lagering process. Built upon a 100% Pilsner malt foundation, the beer delivers a clean, doughy, and cracker-like base that perfectly supports the expressive noble hop profile. The combination of Saaz and Hallertau Mittelfrüh hops provides a distinctive sensory experience, leading with elegant floral aromatics and a classic spicy, herbal undertone. The finish is remarkably dry and refreshing, characterized by a firm, crisp bitterness that invites another sip. This lager showcases a brilliant clarity and a refined balance where the hop character remains the bright, leading protagonist.
Appearance. Straw to deep yellow in color (3 SRM). Brilliant clarity resulting from extended lagering, topped with a creamy, long-lasting white head that leaves consistent lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity hop aroma featuring elegant floral, spicy, and herbal notes. The malt presents a low to medium grainy-sweet and doughy character with a touch of toasted cracker. Fermentation is very clean with no esters or diacetyl.
Taste. Initial grainy-sweet malt flavor is quickly overtaken by a prominent floral and spicy hop character. High bitterness that is firm but not harsh, leading into a very dry, crisp finish. The aftertaste lingers with a clean hop bitterness and a subtle minerally quality.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a crisp, refreshing mouthfeel. Carbonation is medium-high, providing a lively prickle on the tongue. No noticeable alcohol warmth; finishes clean without astringency.
