Philemon is a robust American Brown Ale that masterfully balances a rich, confectionery malt core with a vibrant, modern hop profile. The sensory experience is led by deep notes of baker’s chocolate, toasted hazelnuts, and dark caramel. This decadent foundation is enlivened by a layered citrus character, where Amarillo provides bright orange zest and Cascade offers classic grapefruit and floral accents. Glacier hops from Grand-Calumet ground the profile with subtle herbal and earthy nuances. At 6% ABV, the beer presents a sturdy, medium-full presence on the palate, finishing with a crisp, resinous bitterness that cleanses the rich malt sweetness.
Appearance. Deep mahogany to dark brown (25–30 SRM) with excellent clarity; topped by a persistent, creamy, light tan head that leaves dense lacing.
