5e Baron Glacier Peak

Glacier Peak is a vibrant American IPA that masterfully balances a soft malt foundation with a punchy, modern hop profile. The nose is dominated by enticing stone fruit notes, suggesting layers of apricot and peach against a clean, light malt backdrop. On the palate, the experience evolves from a rounded initial sweetness into a bright array of grapefruit and lemongrass flavors. True to its stylistic roots, the beer transitions into a thin, crisp finish defined by a firm bitterness and a lingering trail of hop resin. At 7% ABV, it delivers a satisfying presence without overwhelming the delicate citrus and orchard fruit nuances.
Appearance. Deep gold to light reddish-amber (approx. 8–12 SRM). Generally clear with a medium-sized, white to off-white head characterized by good persistence and light lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring prominent notes of apricot, peach, and citrusy grapefruit. Supported by a medium-low clean, grainy maltiness. Low fermentation esters are present but secondary to the fruit-forward hop character.
Taste. Initial impression is slightly malty and round, quickly overtaken by intense hop flavors of apricot and peach. Mid-palate reveals sharp grapefruit and herbal lemongrass. High bitterness provides a firm structure, leading to a thin, dry finish with a lingering, resinous hop aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body that thins out toward the finish for high drinkability. Moderate to medium-high carbonation. Features a smooth texture with a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth and no harshness or astringency.
