5e Baron Fog Drip
Fog Drip is a luminous and opaque Hazy IPA that captures an explosive bouquet of tropical and citrus notes. The heavy use of Citra, Simcoe, and Nelson Sauvin, alongside the Pineapple Paradise blend, creates a sensory profile defined by candied pineapple, ripe peach, and sharp lime zest. A generous addition of oats provides a remarkably smooth, creamy texture that carries these lush, candy-like flavors across the palate. While the hop intensity is high, the bitterness remains exceptionally soft and integrated, leading into a gentle, fruit-forward finish that emphasizes juice-like drinkability over sharp resin or bite.
Appearance. SRM 4-6. Opaque, straw-gold with a characteristic hazy shine. Topped by a dense, white, meringue-like head with excellent retention and lacing.
Aroma. High intensity. Dominated by a complex blend of exotic fruit candies, passion fruit, and bright lime. Distinctive notes of candied pineapple and stone fruit from the hops overlay a neutral, lightly bready malt background. Clean fermentation with subtle esters supporting the tropical profile.
Taste. Explodes with vibrant flavors of peach, passion fruit, and candied pineapple. The mid-palate reveals zesty lime and a hint of citrus oil. Malt presence is low and bready, serving only to support the hop saturations. Perceived bitterness is low and soft, balancing the juicy sweetness without harshness. The finish is off-dry, clean, and lingering with fruit oils.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a notably smooth, creamy, and pillowy texture derived from the high oat content. Moderate carbonation provides a soft lift. Alcohol warmth is light and well-integrated. No astringency or hop burn.
