Aroma. High intensity with a dominant bready-toasty malt core. Layers of rich caramel and toffee are complemented by pronounced bourbon and vanilla notes. Significant dark fruit esters of plum, raisin, and candied fruit are supported by a smooth, warming alcohol presence. No hop aroma is perceived.
Taste. Initial impression is rich and sweet, showcasing a complex malt character of hazelnut, toasted bread, and deep caramel. Mid-palate reveals intense dried fruit flavors of prune, raisin, and dates. The finish is characterized by bourbon-soaked oak, vanilla, and a very low hop bitterness.
