This modern American IPA is an explosive showcase of the Krush hop variety, pushed to its sensory limits through intensive triple dry-hopping. It pours a brilliant, polished gold, preceding a sensory profile defined by high-intensity tropical and citrus notes. An overwhelming bouquet of ripe mango, exotic guava, and succulent peach leads the charge, punctuated by zesty blood orange and a subtle hint of mixed berries. The palate follows suit with an initial tropical fruit impact that is rapidly balanced by a sharp, crystalline bitterness and a resinous edge. Finishes remarkably dry and clean, epitomizing the lean, hop-forward character of the West Coast style.
Appearance. Medium gold (6-7 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Features a medium-sized, white, persistent head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma dominated by Krush hops; prominent notes of mango, guava, and stone fruit (peach) are supported by blood orange and a light berry character. Low, clean, grainy maltiness provides a neutral base. Fermentation profile is exceptionally clean with no noticeable esters.
Taste. Initial impression is a succulence of tropical fruit and citrus. Malt flavor is low and grainy, acting as a functional backdrop for high hop flavor. Bitterness is firm and crystalline (medium-high to high), characteristic of the style. The finish is very dry and crisp, with a lingering hoppy and resinous aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Medium-high carbonation provides a refreshing bite. Very light, smooth alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated; no harshness or hop astringency.
