Isaac is a vibrant American Sour Ale that celebrates life with a refreshing, tart profile driven by generous fruit and hop additions. This low-ABV offering bursts with the succulent, tropical essence of fresh mango added during maturation, perfectly complemented by the signature citrus and stone fruit notes of Citra hops. The late-kettle and dry-hopping additions of Citra provide layers of lime and grapefruit that dance alongside the fruit. Expect a crisp, highly attenuated finish characteristic of a young Brett Beer, where subtle tropical esters meld seamlessly with a bright, refreshing acidity and a light, sessionable character.
Appearance. Pale straw to light gold (3–5 SRM). Hazy to opaque appearance from the significant mango addition and dry hopping. Moderate white head with fair retention and light lacing.
Aroma. High intensity of fresh mango pulp and tropical fruit. Strong citrus presence from Citra hops, specifically lime zest and grapefruit. Young fermentation character contributes fruity esters like pineapple with very little barnyard funk. Malt is nearly imperceptible.
Taste. Initial refreshing acidity followed by an explosion of ripe mango. Citra hop flavors contribute tropical fruit and citrus (lemon, lime) without significant bitterness. The finish is very dry and crisp due to high attenuation, leaving a lingering tart fruitiness and a clean aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Light body with a crisp, refreshing texture. High carbonation provides a spritzy, lively mouthfeel. No alcohol warmth or astringency.
