This Batch #4 of Dogmatic Element presents a luxurious, high-gravity interpretation of a Sweet Stout, elevated to imperial proportions at 13% ABV. The sensory experience is defined by a decadent interplay of earthy cocoa beans and freshly roasted coffee beans, providing a deep, bittersweet foundation. Toasted coconut flakes weave through the profile, adding a creamy, tropical nuance that complements the silky texture provided by a heavy addition of lactose. The significant alcohol content lends a well-integrated warmth that supports the massive body, resulting in a dessert-like profile where milk sugar balances intense dark roasted grains, finishing with lingering notes of chocolate and coconut macaroons.

Appearance. Opaque, jet black (40+ SRM). Crowned by a thick, persistent, creamy dark tan head that leaves dense, oily lacing on the glass.

Aroma. High intensity aroma featuring dominant notes of dark chocolate, sweetened espresso, and toasted coconut. A clear impression of cream-like sweetness from lactose is present, alongside subtle dark fruit esters like raisin. Low earthy hop aroma is completely overshadowed by rich, roasted grain and adjunct notes.
