This collaborative Wild Specialty Beer presents an intense, smoothie-like sensory profile dominated by a deep medley of Blackberry and Black Currant. The addition of Banana and Cream creates a thick, decadent base that rounds out the sharp acidity of the dark berries. A distinct nutty layer of Almond provides a marzipan-like complexity, bridging the gap between the tart fruit and the rich, dessert-like finish. While categorized as a Wild Specialty Beer, the fermentation character is subtle, overshadowed by the massive fruit presence and luscious, thick mouthfeel that defines the Slushy XL series, resulting in a balanced yet dessert-forward experience.

Appearance. Deep, opaque magenta to dark purple hue (SRM 35+) with a thick, pulp-like consistency. The head is pink-tinted, minimal, and dissipates quickly due to the high volume of fruit solids and oils from the Almond additions.

Aroma. High intensity aromatics of jammy Blackberry and earthy, pungent Black Currant. A noticeable sweet, nutty Almond character resembles amaretto, supported by ripe Banana and a subtle milky sweetness. Fermentation notes are limited to a clean, lactic tang with no significant funky phenolics.

Taste. An initial burst of tart Blackberry and tangy Black Currant is immediately followed by a wave of sugary fruit sweetness and Cream. The Almond adds a toasted nuttiness, while the Banana contributes a smooth, tropical depth. Bitterness is effectively zero (near 0 IBU); the finish is lingering, fruity, and sweet, with just enough lactic acidity to provide a refreshing counterpoint to the heavy fruit sugars.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and extremely viscous with a heavy, palate-coating texture. Carbonation is low to moderate, enhancing the smoothie-like impression. No alcohol warmth is perceived at 5.3% ABV; the feel is creamy and dense without astringency.
