3 Horses Malt is a classic, non-alcoholic Malta that emphasizes a rich, syrupy depth derived from the finest barley. Its sensory profile is defined by an intense, wort-like sweetness and heavy bready character, evoking notes of molasses and toasted grain. Despite its deep, dark mahogany appearance and thick, creamy tan head, the palate remains approachable with a delicate balance of light bitterness from the brewing process. Aroma. High intensity of sweet, unfermented wort. Dominated by rich, bready malt, caramel, and hints of molasses. No hop aroma or fermentation esters are present; very clean and cereal-forward.
Taste. Initial impression is highly sweet and syrupy, reminiscent of liquid bread. Strong flavors of dark caramel and toasted grain dominate the palate. Hop bitterness is low, providing just enough structure to prevent the finish from being cloying. The finish is sweet and lingering, with a clean, cereal-like aftertaste and no fermentation character.
Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and syrupy; possesses high viscosity for a non-alcoholic beverage. Carbonation is moderate to high, providing a prickly contrast to the sugary weight. No alcohol warmth; notable creaminess and mouth-coating stickiness.
