Technical Ecstasy is a vibrant Czech Premium Pale Lager that showcases the delicate interplay between traditional ingredients and meticulous brewing. Brewed with authentic Bohemian Pils malt and Saaz hops, it presents a rich sensory profile that elevates the standard lager experience. The Bohemian Pils malt provides a soft, crackery, and bready foundation, while the Saaz hops contribute a refined bouquet of floral, spicy, and slightly grassy notes. It balances a pronounced, rounded bitterness with a smooth, medium-bodied mouthfeel, resulting in a complex yet highly drinkable lager. The finish is long and clean, echoing the herbal spice of the hops and the elegant malt richness.
Appearance. Straw to medium yellow (4 SRM); features a slight haze reminiscent of kvasnicové versions with an enormous, dense, creamy white head and excellent retention and lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to high intensity; bready-rich and crackery malt character dominates the base, complemented by a complex hop bouquet of spicy, floral, and herbal Saaz character; clean fermentation with no detectable esters.
Taste. Initial impression of soft, crackery maltiness from the Bohemian Pils malt, quickly joined by a prominent but smooth and rounded bitterness; flavors of spicy and slightly grassy Saaz hops are medium-high; well-balanced with a long, clean finish that lacks any harshness.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with a soft, rounded texture; moderate carbonation; very low alcohol warmth and no perceived astringency.
