Elusive Brewing creates beer with one eye on tradition and the other on taking things to the next level. Founded by a home brewer who went on to win awards at national level, from our small brewery in Finchampstead, Berkshire we’d like to share our game with you.

We love the West Coast and take inspiration from the hop loving breweries who pioneered the craft beer movement. We are an open and collaborative brewery who loves playing an active role in our local community.

27th April 2016 – was there first ever brew day in Finchampstead. Baz  and andy had toiled away through a bitterly cold February and March to prep Unit 5 and commission the brew kit, aided by a builder, flooring specialist and electrical contractor.

One thing that has been consistent throughout, from the moment Andy wrote of his intentions to start Elusive, has been the amazing support they’ve  received from the home brewing community and this was certainly a huge help in navigating the challenges of 2020.

We haven’t really looked back and, despite 2020 being a very testing year, they are still here!

Elusive Brewing (Finchampstead, Berkshire) is pleased to announce they will be brewing a Brave Noise beer as their first beer of 2023.

Brave Noise is a global collaborative effort to provide inclusive and safe environments for women, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ people throughout the beer industry.

From the brewery:

We teamed up with long time friend and inspiration Henry Kirk to brew this Old Ale, the first collaboration brew of Henry's new venture as Sunken Knave. We leaned upon a traditional Old Ale recipe incorporating some modern ingredients to make this comforting and decadent beer. Expect notes of dark fruits and toasty malts with a hint of raisin.
