Barrica #36 brings together two different imperial stouts, aged for 12 to 18 months in second-use Kentucky bourbon barrels, later blended and infused with the flavours of hazelnut, cocoa nibs and vanilla beans.

The palate soon becomes assertive and resinous with the New Zealand hops balanced by the biscuit malt. The finish is aggressive and dry with the hops emerging over the warming alcohol.
