DUPONT BREWERY - The Brasserie Dupont is a former farm dating back to 1759. In 1844, it became the Rimaux-Derrider farm-brewery, specialising in the production of honey and “Saison” (season) beers, so called because the farm-breweries produced this type of beer in winter for consumption on the fields in summer. After the Second World War, Pils beers became very popular. Many small Belgian breweries disappeared because they could not meet this demand. It was Sylva Rosier’s dynamism and technical knowledge that ensured the survival of the Brasserie Dupont with the introduction of Redor Pils. Today, the Brasserie Dupont is owned by Sylva Rosier’s children and grandchildren. Sylva Rosier’s grandson, Ghislaine’s son, Olivier Dedeycker, joined the company in 1990 as a brewing engineer. In 2002, he took the helm of the family brewery from his uncle Marc Rosier. He represents the fourth generation of this family of brewers.

Bons Vœux is a blonde Christmas beer by brewery Dupont. The beer’s full name is « Avec les bons Vœux de la brasserie Dupont », which means « With the best wishes of the brewery Dupont ». This beer has been around for almost 50 years. At first it was a special beer that was given as a new year’s present to the brewer’s best customers. And although they still do that, they have also started to commercialise this “gift” on popular demand.
Bons Vœux has a dark blond color, a rich and hoppy aroma and a taste which nicely balances between bitter and fruity. The beer gets this unique aroma and flavor through a long process of dry hopping. It can be kept in the cellar for many years. The re- fermentation in the bottle will continue for a long time after you buy it, and it will result in a richer and fuller flavor as the years go by. The beer has an alcohol content of 9.5%.

Since 1970, the brewery has brewed this special beer to give as a new years present to their best clients. The name of this beer “Avec les bons Vœux de la brasserie Dupont means “With the best wishes of the brewery Dupont”.
Because of the increasing success, they started to commercialize the beer. Although the demands were considerable, only a small quantity was brewed, so they had to make a reservation list, months before new year.

Dit exclusieve en populaire bier wordt gebrouwen in beperkte hoeveelheden. Het wordt maanden van tevoren gereserveerd door de grootste bierliefhebbers.
Sindsdien is het bier te vinden in de handel... want ja, van de beste wensen kun je enkel genieten als je ze deelt!
Hoe kan je het best genieten van dit bier ?
Dit bier geeft intense aroma's vrij van geel fruit (rijpe banaan), citrusvruchten (sinaasappel en citroen) en specerijen (kruidnagel). Deze aroma’s uiten zich in een rijk en complex mondgevoel met moutige tonen (geroosterde hazelnoot).
Door het drooghoppen krijgt het bier een complex en kenmerkend aroma.
We serveren het bier op keldertemperatuur (12°C) of zeer licht gekoeld. Dit bier is ideaal als aperitief of bij uw feestelijke gerechten: paté de campagne, wild, paling à la escavêche of onze heerlijke kaas Carré à la Moinette.

Sebbene le richieste fossero notevoli, ne veniva prodotta solo una piccola quantità, quindi dovevano fare un elenco di prenotazioni, anche mesi prima del nuovo anno. Questo Bons Vœux è biondo ramato, ha hoparomi molto fini e ha un sapore amaro, fruttato e delicato. La nostra selezione di lieviti, in combinazione con un lungo processo di maturazione, su base “dry hopping”, stanno creando un aroma e un gusto tipici e complessi. Una vera e propria rifermentazione in bottiglia, che proseguirà a lungo nella vostra cantina, si tradurrà in una birra armoniosa ed equilibrata, ricca di aromi inaspettati e complessi.
