Founded in 2009, Cassels Brewery is one of the only wood-fired breweries in the world. The brewery was heavily damaged in an earthquake in 2011, but they rebuilt, adding a cafe, bar, music venue and restaurant to the brewery site – making the Cassels Brewery a destination for beer lovers. Golden in colour, Cassels and Sons NZ IPA is a full bodied IPA brewed with a blend of highly aromatic New Zealand hops - Moutere, Nectaron? and Taiheke. At 5.7% ABV it has a light tropical fruit flavour with a hint of light caramel malts, making it a refreshing beer for all year round.
