Our Abstrakt journey continues with AB:17; a three-coffee rye imperial porter. Big chocolately roasty malts, spicy rye, and more coffee than Twin Peaks – we’ve added espresso in the mash, cafetiere in the boil, and whole bean in the whirlpool and the FV. Courtesy of Has Bean, we’ve got a rich mix of spicy, bitter and heady coffee flavours mixing with the vanilla pods we threw in for good measure. AB:17 is in the final days of maturation and is almost ready for bottling. It is tasting incredibly smooth and decadent. A perfect winter beer?
