Pour faire honneur à sa grande beauté, la Brasserie du Bocq a conçu cette bière éponyme, la Blanche de Namur. Brassée partir de froment de très haute qualité, elle est à la fois florale et fruitée, avec des notes de coriandre et d’écorce d’orange. Très célèbre, cette bière belge blanche se sert en mélangeant le fond de la bouteille à la moitié du service pour en apprécier les notes levurées.

C'est vraiment une bière unique en son genre. La brasserie derrière cette bière a déjà plus de 160 ans de tradition et de brassage de bières de qualité.
A l'œil, on remarque une couleur blonde, légèrement trouble. La mousse est blanche, épaisse et crémeuse. Le trouble apparaît lorsque la bière est froide mais s'estompe en se réchauffant.
Au nez, on remarque des arômes de banane, des notes fruitées de houblon, de sorbet au citron et de blé. Si vous êtes attentif, vous pouvez également obtenir des notes de coriandre et d'orange.
En bouche, on remarque que la bière dégage de la fraîcheur et de la douceur avec un léger piquant. Elle est très douce, mais vous noterez également une consistance poudreuse sur la langue. La Blanche de Namur est rafraîchissante et acidulée. Cette bière artisanale a une douceur moyenne et une faible amertume.
Bien que plutôt légère, cette bière est également très populaire à l'automne et à Noël.
Histoire et origine du nom de la bière Blanche de Namur
Blanche de Namur était une belle femme qui a réellement existé. Elle était la fille du comte Jean de Namur. L'histoire raconte que le roi de Suède et de Norvège est tombé amoureux de la princesse car sa beauté était envoûtante. Le roi était en route pour la France afin de trouver une reine qui lui conviendrait. La princesse Blanche de Namur suivit le roi en Scandinavie en 1335, mais ne devint jamais reine et ne retourna jamais dans son pays.
Le nom de la bière est dédié à la mémoire et à la beauté de cette douce princesse.
