Adnams Old Ale

Adnams Old Ale is based on one of the brewery's oldest beer recipes, dating back to 1890.  A winter warmer, Old Ale is brewed with East Anglian Pale Ale malt, Crystal malted barley and First Gold Hops, the combination of which impart flavours of red fruit, roasted grains and a hint of caramel.  Akin to a mild, the hops in Adnams Old Ale play second fiddle to the malt. Rich aromas of caramel and nutty chocolate come through to the palate with hints of liquorice and red fruits. Smooth bitterness balances the flavours and cleanses the palate, making room for the next sip.
