Very refreshing beer mixed drink made of 50% special beer Edel and 50% Lemonade. The use of the malty and strong Edel makes this Radler a particularly tasteful mixture

The Aktien Brewery was developed under the ancient ‘Reinheitsgebot’ German Beer Purity Laws of 1516.  The brewery dates back to 1308, representing more than 700 years of Bavarian brewing heritage and tradition and they continue to use the same locally grown Hallertau hops and grains from the same local farms. Radler comes from the word ‘bicycle’ and the need for a refreshing, less alcoholic bicycle on a bicycle road through the Bavarian countryside. It is said that a German innkeeper, when waiting for his cyclist visitors, found he didn’t have enough beer and so he blended the remaining beer with fresh citrus lemonade. This new drink was a hit with the cyclists and so it became Radler.  ABK Radler is a 50/50 mix of ABK Edel and organic Leo Lemonade, also made by ABK.  ABK Radler is best enjoyed ice cold.
