Birra di puro malto senza zuccheri aggiunti. L’armonia dei sapori è direttamente collegata al suo processo di doppia fermentazione, alle precise quantità di malto utilizzato (ben 7 tipologie).
È di colore rosso rubino cupo, maestoso, papale. Il suo sapore è ricco e pieno di finezza. Si gusta come un vino rosso, di cui ricorda il colore, ma senza il tannino. Sviluppa un aroma molto potente con note dolci. Conferma l’impressione iniziale in bocca, seppur ora avvolto da un amaro profondo, ma ben equilibrato e con un certo fruttato. Si sprigiona completamente al palato, sviluppando un’impressionante densità di sapore. Ci sono note di legno bruciato, ma sebbene questa birra includa un malto tostato nei suoi ingredienti, questo non emerge nell’aroma. Il retrogusto è molto lungo grazie al suo sviluppo denso e cremoso in bocca. Abbaye des Rocs (9% alcohol vol.) is a pure malt beer, with no added sugar. The entire range of tastes is directly linked to the double fermentation, the precise quantities of malts (7 types) as well as the mixtures of three kinds of hops (Belgian, German and Czech). Its colour is a striking deep and majestic red. Its taste is rich and full of subtlety. It is tasted like a red wine with which it shares the ruby colour without having the tannin. It develops a strong sweet smell. It confirms the initial impression in the first mouthful, with a sharp body that is balanced with a certain fruitiness. It frees itself on the palate and develops an impressive depth of taste. Some traces of burnt wood are detectable, but never scorched even if it contains this kind of malt. The foretaste is very prolonged because of its rich and unctuous development throughout the mouth. The bitter and sugar tendencies (even though there is no sugar in its composition) compete and come back together to the taster's great satisfaction. It is a deep, mystic and extremely mature beer to be classed among the great products of our soil.

It is a majestic, papal, dark ruby red colour. Its taste is rich and full of subtlety. It is enjoyed like a red wine, whose colour it resembles, but without the tannin. It develops a very powerful aroma with sweet notes. It confirms the initial impression in the mouth, although now enveloped by a deep bitterness, yet one that is well balanced and with a certain fruitiness. It is released fully on the palate, developing an impressive density of flavour. There are notes of burnt wood, but although this beer includes a roasted malt in its ingredients, this does not come through in the aroma. The aftertaste is very long thanks to its dense and creamy development whilst in the mouth.
