Charles V, born in Ghent (Belgium), was one of the most important Emperors our history has ever known. Charles V (Charles Quint in French) was also a devoted beer lover. In his honour this ’imperial’ Ruby Red beer has been created: a top fermenting specialty beer, with a smooth and fruity aroma, a full and smooth flavour and a sweet Hoppy aftertaste. Food pairing suggestion: strong cheese, (grilled) red meat, chocolate desserts

Color ojo rubí, ligeramente dulce, aroma de lúpulo. Cerveza con espuma cremosa y densa, aromas afrutados, ligeramente ahumados,con un cierto dulzor. Tiene un sabor pronunciado a malta, constante y sin apenas evolución, poco el amargor y dulce final.

Belgian Dark Strong Ale en la que, como no podría ser de otra manera dentro de su estilo, están presentes tanto en nariz como en boca los toques afrutados, a maltas tostadas y a caramelo. Todo esto unido a una muy buena integración del alcohol a pesar de sus 8 grados.

Obviamente la etiqueta y el nombre están directamente relacionados con esa maravilla natural que tenemos en nuestra tierra, que es la selva de Irati. El segundo hayedo-abetal más extenso y mejor conservado de Europa, después de la Selva Negra de Alemania.
