Cats of Chaos 2021.1 Erasmus Islay Barrel IPA

The “Cats of Chaos” series is a bi-annual release of barrel-aged beers from the Torrside Brewing based at New Mills. The amazing artworks for the labels are the creations of artist Emma Sidwell.

Erasmus Islay Barrel IPA takes Torrside’s Spartacus IPA and gives it a little Laphroaig peat and smoke and it really works well, the last edition was incredibly drinkable as my Twitter feed will confirm.

Torrside brew no-nonsense beers with passion, interesting, full-flavoured, often a little crazy but with no compromises, and that’s the way I like it. Take a look at their other beers here.
