Oude Geuze Boon à l’Anciennne

Oude Geuze Boon is a blend of Lambic aged for an average of 18 months and a small percentage of 3-year-old Lambic all aged in oak casks. It is characterized by a slightly acidic, mellow, fruity aroma with notes of apricot and green apples. The production of Oude Geuze starts with the brewing of Lambic. Lambic is a beer of spontaneous fermentation that matures in large oak casks (foeders). Only after being allowed to mature in the casks for 1 to 3 years will Lambic be used to produce Oude Geuze. By blending young and old Lambic together and allowing it to referment in the bottle, a carbonated beer is created called "Oude Geuze".  This Lambic can be stored for up to 20 years if stored in a dark and cool place. - This box contains two cork bottles + one mouth-blown glass.   Brewed & bottled by Brouwerij Boon  

Blend of 1, 2, and 3 year old lambics. A true Geuze - a blend of 1, 2, and 3 year-old lambic, unfiltered and unpasteurized, and aged in the bottle for at least a year after blending.
