Brewery VanhonsebrouckIn the hands of the Bosteels family for over 200 years, the brewery relies today on the craftmanship of seven generations. In 1791, Jean-Baptist Bosteels established the brewery, and has been followed by generations who took over the brewery and never stop brewing, even during the world wars. At that time, the brewery played such an important role in the town, the family Bosteels were such influential people that we are not surprised that 3 of the 7 generations have been Town Mayors. In the year 1930’s Antoine Bosteels, 5th generation, carried on the brewing dynasty and played an important role expanding the sales of the Bosteels Pils into other regions such as Ghent, Antwerp and Brussels. His son Ivo Bosteels honored the iconic beer of Pauwel Kwak by bringing it back to the market in 1980; this is the beginning of the strong beers for Brewery Bosteels. In the year 1990, Ivo’s son, Antoine Bosteels, the 7th generation, understood the potential of strong speciality beers and especially the trend for blond ones. Driven by passion of the art of brewing and guided by his creativity, Antoine is at the roots of the succes of Tripel Karmeliet and DeuS Brut des Flandres.

Uitzicht
De donkere, bijna gitzwarte kleur en de schuimkraag vol kleine luchtbelletjes doen denken aan een porter en stout, twee Britse bierstijlen.
Aroma
De aroma’s van chocolade en koffie zijn sterk aanwezig in de neus en verklaren de naam van het bier.
Verder is de geur subtiel kruidig met toetsen van kaneel.
Smaak
Geniet van een volmondig donker bier met een zacht en romig mondgevoel.
Toetsen van karamel, toffee en chocolade verwennen je smaakpapillen en laten ook nog voldoende ruimte voor een sublieme hopbitter.
De afdronk is aangenaam droog en voelt warm aan door de aanwezige alcohol.

Barista es una cerveza belga de estilo imperial stout elaborada por Kasteel Brewery Van Honsebrouck. Esta cerveza combina la tradicional receta de una stout con un toque de café para crear una cerveza intensa y sabrosa.
Presenta un color marrón oscuro con una cabeza cremosa y espesa. En nariz, destaca su aroma a café tostado, junto con notas de chocolate y caramelo. En boca, se aprecia un sabor a café intenso, con toques de chocolate negro, vainilla y un final ligeramente amargo. Su cuerpo es denso y cremoso, con una carbonatación suave. Se elabora con maltas tostadas, cebada, avena y trigo. El café tostado se agrega durante el proceso de elaboración para impartir su sabor característico. Para el lúpulo, se utilizan variedades de lúpulo belgas y alemanas.
Esta cerveza se marida bien con platos fuertes y picantes como guisos, carnes rojas y platos con salsas agridulces. También es una buena opción para acompañar postres como brownies o tartas de chocolate.
La Kasteel Barista ha ganado varias medallas en concursos internacionales de cerveza, como la medalla de oro en el World Beer Awards 2018 y la medalla de plata en el Brussels Beer Challenge 2019.
