Ontdek een vloeibaar eerbetoon aan herfstige nostalgie met de Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Caramella (14,6%), een unieke wheatwine die zoet, kruidig en rijk smaakt als een karamelappel vers van de kermis. Caramella – Italiaans voor “snoepje” – is een van de meest opvallende en smaakvolle varianten binnen de Bourbon County-serie. Gelimiteerd, krachtig en hartverwarmend.
Een creatie van vakmanschap en seizoensliefde
Deze bijzondere wheatwine werd bedacht door Joey Tidei, Lead Lab Analyst bij Goose Island, als ode aan zijn liefde voor seizoenssmaken. Zijn inspiratie? De geur van versgebakken appeltaart, knusse herfstdagen en zoete herinneringen aan karamelappels van vroeger.
Na het brouwproces werd Caramella gedurende een lange periode gerijpt op Larceny Wheated Bourbon-vaten, bekend om hun zachte en zoete karakter. Na de rijping werd het bier verrijkt met natuurlijke toevoegingen van appel, kaneel en karamel, waardoor een onweerstaanbaar, gelaagd smaakprofiel is ontstaan.
Smaakprofiel: herfst in een glas
De geur opent met warme bourbon, gesmolten karamel, gekonfijte appel en een vleugje kaneel. In de smaak proef je een rijke mix van romige karamel, lichtzure appel, zoete tarwemout en subtiele kruiden. De afdronk is zacht, lang en verwarmend – met de typische smoothness van Larceny-bourbonvaten die alles samenbrengt in perfecte harmonie.
Caramella is geen gewone stout of barleywine, maar een tarwewijn: een zeldzame bierstijl die bekend staat om zijn zoete, volle mondgevoel en complexe body. De toevoeging van fruit en specerijen maakt deze variant onweerstaanbaar voor wie houdt van gastronomische bieren met diepgang.
Beperkt gebotteld in 50cl – ideaal voor herfstige momenten
Verpakt in een exclusieve 50cl fles, is deze Caramella-editie perfect om te delen op een frisse herfstavond of om rustig van te genieten bij een open haard. Ook uitstekend te combineren met desserts zoals appeltaart, crème brûlée of kazen met een karameltoets. Door het hoge alcoholpercentage is het bier bovendien geschikt om te laten rijpen, waarbij de smaken zich nog verder kunnen verdiepen.
