The selection of Mandarina Bavaria hops introduces nuanced layers of sweet orange and delicate spice, elevating the aromatic profile beyond the typical neutral baseline of the style. Despite its modest 4.5% ABV, the beer offers a surprisingly substantial and creamy mouthfeel. It remains exceptionally refreshing, balancing its grainy sweetness with a crisp, dry finish and a subtle, well-integrated bitterness.
Appearance. Pale straw to light yellow (2-3 SRM). Unlike traditional clear versions, this beer exhibits a noticeable haze due to the protein content from the grain bill. It supports a white, frothy head with moderate retention.
Aroma. Moderate-low intensity with a clean fermentation profile. Grainy, sweet malt notes are layered with a rustic, earthy quality from the Spelt. The Mandarina Bavaria hops contribute a light citrus aroma of orange peel and a hint of herbal spice.
Taste. Initial impression is crisp and neutral-dry. A light, grainy malt flavor is present, bolstered by a unique earthy Spelt character.
