WeldWerks Bisque is a quintessential Hazy IPA, delivering a saturated sensory experience defined by its signature trio of Citra, Simcoe, and El Dorado hops. The Citra provides a bright foundation of juicy grapefruit and mango, while the El Dorado introduces layers of sweet pineapple and soft pear. Simcoe grounds the fruitiness with a subtle, dank passionfruit complexity. A soft, wheaty malt base ensures the hop oils are showcased without distraction, resulting in a plush, velvet-like texture. This brew emphasizes a juicy profile with minimal bitterness, finishing with a lingering tropical sweetness that highlights the meticulous biotransformation of modern hop varieties.
Appearance. Straw to light orange in color (4 SRM) with an opaque, hazy clarity that provides a characteristic 'shine'. The beer is topped by a thick, meringue-like white head with exceptional retention and beautiful lacing.
Aroma. High intensity of tropical and citrus fruit. Dominant notes of fresh pineapple, mango, and lime zest are complemented by stone fruit esters and a subtle, dank, resinous undertone. The malt is neutral and lightly bready in the background, without any toast or caramel.
Taste. Explosive fruity hop flavors mirrors the aroma with layers of grapefruit, ripe pear, and tropical punch. The malt provides a low, grainy, and flaked-grain support that balances the hop saturation. Perceived bitterness is low to moderate, lacking any harshness or 'hop bite'. The finish is off-dry and smooth, leaving a clean, lingering fruit juice impression.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy texture. Carbonation is moderate, contributing to a smooth and creamy mouthfeel. There is no astringency and only a very light, well-integrated alcohol warmth.
