Welbeck Abbey Brewery Wildcat

Known locally as the 'Highland Tiger', this elusive animal is an icon of the Scottish Highlands. Whilst they are now few and far between, the name of Welbeck’s Scottish estate, Caithness, is derived from ‘Kat Ness’, making reference to the feline inhabitants which were once prevalent.

Wildcat is our elegant cold-brewed craft lager using a specialist strain of yeast and authentic German lager hops. The resulting beer is crisp, fresh and lively with a sweet malt backbone.
