Volcanica Belgian IPA is a vibrant, gold-hued ale that bridges New World hop intensity with traditional Belgian fermentation character. The sensory experience is defined by a bold citrus punch, delivering bright notes of grapefruit and lemon zest that mingle with an intricate yeast profile of pear and subtle clove. Despite its high alcohol content, the beer remains remarkably drinkable, supported by a lean malt backbone and a high level of carbonation that lifts the aromatics. It finishes crisp and decidedly bitter, leaving a refreshing, spicy trail that invites another sip of this complex Specialty IPA.

Appearance. Deep gold color (approx. 6 SRM) with brilliant clarity. Features a large, persistent, mousse-like white head with excellent lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop aroma with distinct citrus notes of grapefruit and lemon zest. Complemented by moderate fruity esters of pear and apple, and light spicy phenols resembling white pepper.

Taste. Initial impression is a firm hop bitterness that carries through the palate. Flavor mirrors the aroma with dominant citrus hop character and a supporting cast of fruity fermentation esters. Malt is low and cracker-like, providing a clean foundation. Finishes very dry with a lingering, clean bitterness.

Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with high carbonation that produces a lively, effervescent sensation. A light, smooth alcohol warmth is present, reflecting the 7.2% ABV, without any harshness.
