While discussing recipes with Prizm, we got excited about using the same base hops for both the Pale Ale and the IPA (think Motueka, Citra, and Simcoe), blending New Zealand and US hops to work together with our Verdant yeast. For the IPA, we used NZH-101 on the cold side for a more limey, tropical, and deeply dank hop saturation.
Prizm Brewing Co are one of Franceâs most exciting new breweries, located in Vendargues (Herault), just outside Montpellier. Born in 2020, they quickly earned a reputation as one of the countryâs top-rated microbreweries. Their approach combines research and experimentation, community engagement, and creative cultureâpushing the boundaries of brewing while staying rooted in art, music, and collaboration. It all feels very Verdant! After tasting some of their latest delicious beers, we had to invite them for a collaboration in Cornwall as part of our Travellers Series.

Adam and James were homebrewers who loved hop-forward beers. They werenât easy to find locally so in 2014 they started Verdant to make their own. Rich joined in 2016. With a little help from other craft brewers and friends, out poured juicy, hoppy, unfiltered hazy Pales, IPAs and DIPAs, and the brewery thrived thanks to like-minded drinkers everywhere. Being independent enables Verdant to stay ethical, sustainable, and keep pushing the boundaries of taste and quality.
