Amber Ale 8 º 22 IBU
This Belgian Dubbel presents a striking deep amber-red hue, offering a robust and sensory-rich experience rooted in monastic tradition. The aroma is a complex tapestry of caramelized malt and toasted sugars, woven with distinct notes of orange peel, coriander, and clove-like phenols. On the palate, the malt remains the focal point, delivering a spicy, full-bodied sweetness that is expertly balanced by a subtle floral hop presence. At 8% ABV, the beer provides a characteristic fiery warmth on the finish, while the high effervescence typical of the brewery ensures a clean, moderately dry, and lingering spicy aftertaste.
Appearance. Dark amber with a distinct reddish-copper depth. Pours with a large, dense, and exceptionally long-lasting creamy off-white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. Moderate to moderately strong intensity featuring rich caramelized malt, toasted bread, and hints of orange. Notable spicy yeast character with peppery coriander and clove phenols, alongside subtle floral hop notes.
Taste. Initial impression is malty and rich with caramelized sugar flavors. Features moderate fruity esters of orange and dried plums, balanced by peppery phenols. Bitterness is medium-low, allowing the robust malt profile to lead. Finishes moderately dry with a lingering spicy and slightly alcoholic warmth.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, creamy texture. Very high carbonation provides a prickly but cleansing sensation. Noticeable and pleasant alcohol warmth without being solventy.
