This luminous Hazy IPA is a sensory showcase for the vibrant Nectaron and HBC 1019 hop varieties. At 6.1% ABV, it radiates a punchy, zesty character brimming with layers of tropical and stonefruit. Nectaron brings bold strokes of passionfruit and ripe peach, while the experimental HBC 1019 introduces a unique complexity of honeydew melon and candied citrus. The appearance is opaque yet glowing, leading into a soft, smooth palate where the hop-derived juices take center stage. Supported by a clean, bready malt backbone and a gentle bitterness, the finish is bright and incredibly refreshing.
Appearance. 3-5 SRM, straw to light gold. Opaque with a characteristic hazy shine; no visible particulates. Persistent, rocky, meringue-like white head with excellent lacing.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring notes of passionfruit, pineapple, and peach from Nectaron, blended with honeydew melon and candied citrus from HBC 1019. Low bready, grainy malt character in the background; clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Explosive fruity hop flavor echoing the aroma with dominant stonefruit and tropical layers. Perceived bitterness is moderate but soft and well-integrated, never harsh. Low grainy malt flavor supports the hops. Finish is off-dry and juice-like with a clean, lingering fruit aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a soft, pillowy texture. Moderate carbonation. Smooth and creamy without being viscous; subtle alcohol warmth present.
