WE LOVE LA is a vibrant West Coast IPA that celebrates the resinous and bright character of classic California brewing. Utilizing Simcoe Cryo, Amarillo, and Strata, it presents a complex aromatic profile of dank pine, zesty grapefruit, and lush tropical fruit. The Simcoe Cryo intensifies the forest-floor aromatics, while Amarillo provides a classic floral-citrus lift and Strata contributes a signature passionfruit punch. The palate is defined by a clean, snappy bitterness and a dry, refreshing finish that allows the punchy hop character to dominate. Supporting this is a lean, grainy malt base that provides structure without sweetness, resulting in a crisp, hop-forward experience.
Appearance. Brilliant clarity with a deep gold to light copper color. Topped by a persistent, medium-sized white head that leaves significant lacing on the glass.
Aroma. High intensity hop aroma featuring layers of dank pine and resin from Simcoe Cryo, alongside bright orange peel and floral notes from Amarillo. Strata contributes underlying notes of passionfruit and berry. Low, grainy-sweet malt provides a neutral background with a clean fermentation profile.
Taste. Initial impression is hop-forward and assertive. Prominent flavors of resinous pine, grapefruit pith, and tropical fruit lead into a medium-high, crisp bitterness. The malt character is low, offering subtle notes of toasted crackers. It finishes very dry and clean with a lingering hoppy, resinous aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium-light body with a smooth, crisp texture. Carbonation is medium-high, enhancing the snappy finish. A very subtle, well-integrated alcohol warmth is present.
