Speedy Ferguson is a vibrant Double IPA that showcases an expressive hop profile through the strategic use of Huell Melon, Nelson, and Mosaic Cryo. The beer pours a glowing pale gold, releasing an intense bouquet of honeydew melon, crushed gooseberry, and ripe tropical mango. The palate follows with complex layers of white wine esters and berry-like sweetness, balanced by a firm yet clean bitterness. Despite its 8.5% strength, the finish remains remarkably dry and crisp, underpinned by a neutral, grainy malt backbone that allows the nuanced fruit and resinous hop characters driven by the Nelson and Mosaic Cryo additions to shine.

Appearance. Pale gold to light orange (7 SRM). High clarity with a slight haze typical of modern interpretations. Forms a moderate, persistent off-white head with excellent lacing.

Aroma. High intensity hop-forward bouquet featuring prominent notes of honeydew melon and strawberry from Huell Melon. Complemented by the vinous, gooseberry, and white-grape character of Nelson and the concentrated tropical mango and blueberry of Mosaic Cryo. Malt is very low and neutral-grainy. Low fruity esters.

Taste. Strong hop flavors mirror the aroma with layers of melon, tropical fruit, and grape skin. High bitterness that is firm but clean, lacking harshness. Malt flavor is low and cracker-like, providing a soft foundation. Finishes medium-dry with a lingering tropical and resinous aftertaste. Clean fermentation profile.

Mouthfeel. Medium body with a smooth, creamy texture. Medium-high carbonation provides a crisp bite. A smooth, restrained alcohol warmth is present but well-integrated. No hop-derived astringency.
