Objective Lens is an opulent collaboration between Trillium and Bottle Logic, presenting a decadent Imperial Stout experience shaped by extensive barrel aging. This high-gravity masterpiece features a luxurious trio of Costa Rica, Congo, and Madagascar vanilla beans, which weave a complex tapestry of floral, creamy, and marshmallow-like nuances. Intense notes of milk chocolate and roasted malts dominate the profile, supported by a moderate sweetness that balances the 15.1% ABV. The spirituous influence of the barrel provides a sturdy backbone of charred oak and dark fruit, resulting in a viscous, velvety finish that lingers with a sophisticated, chocolate-forward warmth.

Appearance. Jet black and completely opaque (40+ SRM). It pours with a dense, dark tan head of moderate retention that leaves thick lacing on the glass. High viscosity is clearly visible through heavy legs.

Aroma. High intensity with a rich blend of Madagascar, Congo, and Costa Rica vanilla providing layers of cream, wood, and spice. Deep milk chocolate and cocoa notes meld with roasted espresso and charred oak. Subtle dark fruit esters of prune and raisin are present, accompanied by a clean, spirit-like alcohol warmth.

Taste. The palate leads with intense vanilla and sweet milk chocolate, transitioning into deep roasted grain and bittersweet cocoa. Mid-palate introduces charred oak tannins and a moderate bitterness that provides balance to the malt sweetness. The finish is exceptionally long, featuring lingering notes of dark chocolate, vanilla bean, and a smooth, vinous alcohol character.

Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and highly viscous with a chewy, velvety texture. Carbonation is low, emphasizing the beer's richness. A significant and noticeable alcohol warmth is present but remains smooth and well-integrated, avoiding any harshness.
