This luminescent yellow Double IPA offers an indulgent sensory journey, opening with a creamy aroma reminiscent of fresh sugar-donuts and peach jam. The palate is dominated by expansive waves of apricot and mango, supported by a remarkably thick, luscious body characteristic of the Gold Top series. As the fruit richness peaks, a sophisticated herbal shift emerges; Pacific Sunrise introduces fresh pine and resinous depth, while Nelson Sauvin provides a signature finish of gooseberry and crisp white wine. Despite its 8.4% strength, the beer remains balanced, melding tropical intensity with a clean, complex hop profile that avoids harshness while maintaining significant impact.
Appearance. Luminescent yellow color (4–6 SRM). Opaque to hazy with a thick, persistent, creamy white head and significant lacing.
Aroma. Intense hop aroma featuring stone fruit (apricot, peach jam) and tropical mango. A unique 'sugar-donut' sweetness suggests a rich malt and adjunct base. Background notes include fresh pine and a distinct white wine vinous character.
Taste. Initial impression is a burst of jammy stone fruit and tropical mango. The malt provides a soft, bready supportive base. Hop flavor is complex, shifting from fruit-forward to an herbal and piney mid-palate driven by Pacific Sunrise. The finish features the dry, gooseberry, and white wine signature of Nelson Sauvin. Bitterness is moderate-high but smooth, balanced by the heavy body.
Mouthfeel. Full-bodied and viscous with a creamy, coating texture. Carbonation is moderate. Noticeable but well-integrated alcohol warmth provides a smooth, non-solventy glow.

Riesige Aprikosen- und Mango-Aromen schwappen in Wellen über die Zunge und bringen einen dicken Körper mit sich, der aus dem Glas quillt und in einem leuchtenden Gelb leuchtet. Der Abgang ist dank Pacific Sunrise (ein traditioneller Westküsten-Hopfen, den wir zum ersten Mal in einem Gold Top verwendet haben) überraschend kräuterig, mit frischer Kiefer, die einem langen, für Stachelbeere und Weißwein typischen Nelson Sauvin-Abgang weicht.
