Quadzilla III is a monumental expression of the Double IPA style, pushing boundaries with its towering 13% ABV. A vibrant brewhouse foundation of Citra and Amarillo sets a stage of zesty grapefruit and bright orange, further amplified by a relentless triple dry hop of Amarillo and Ekuanot. This infusion delivers a saturated sensory experience of ripe mango, papaya, and lime pith. Despite its massive stature, a new yeast strain provides a clean, modern fermentation profile that supports the intense lupulin saturation. The palate is defined by deep tropical resonance, balanced by a firm bitterness and a smooth, integrated alcohol warmth that underscores its quadruple-strength pedigree.

Appearance. Deep gold to light orange-copper in color (approx. 8–12 SRM). The beer supports a moderate-sized, persistent white head with significant lacing. Clarity is mostly clear, though a slight hop-derived haze is present from the intensive dry-hopping.

Aroma. High to intense hop intensity featuring saturated notes of mango, papaya, and lime from Ekuanot, alongside the bright grapefruit and orange character of Citra and Amarillo. A supportive, clean, neutral grainy maltiness sits in the background, complemented by light fruity esters from the new yeast strain and a noticeable but clean alcohol presence.

Taste. Initial impression is an explosion of tropical fruit and citrus oils. Strong hop flavors of orange, melon, and pineapple dominate, supported by a soft, clean, unobtrusive malt character. High bitterness provides structure without being harsh or astringent. The finish is medium-dry with a lingering hoppy aftertaste and a smooth, warming alcohol flavor that reflects its high strength.

Mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a smooth, slightly oily texture from the heavy hop load. Carbonation is moderate to medium-high. While the 13% ABV provides a strong, noticeable alcohol warmth, it remains well-integrated and lacks solvent-like harshness.
